Does Alleviate write grant proposals with AI?
Yes. Alleviate's proposal writer drafts each section from the organization's own profile, programs and document vault, flags what is missing before it drafts, and produces one section at a time for a person to review and approve. Growth includes five AI proposals a month; Pro has no limit.
How it drafts
The writer starts from what the organization has already recorded: mission and history from the profile, the program's design, participants and outcomes, the budget by fund, and the documents in the vault (an annual report, a logic model, a prior proposal). It reads the funder's call, lists what the call asks for that the record does not hold, and asks for those before drafting. Each section is drafted on its own and shown for editing; nothing is submitted by the system.
Where the opportunities come from
Funding alerts match open calls to the organization's profile: five a month on Starter, 25 a month with AI matching on Growth, unlimited on Pro. An alert can be saved, tracked through the application and, once awarded, turned into the program's funding record with its reporting dates.
What it does not do
It does not invent outcomes or figures; where the record is thin, the draft says so. It does not guarantee an award. It does not replace a grant writer on a complex federal application; it gives that writer a first draft built on accurate data. The organization's data is not used to train AI models, and a proposal is never sent without a person approving it.
The figures
- AI proposals: 5 a month on Growth, unlimited on Pro; a one time setup fee applies to the add on for other plans
- Funding alerts: 5 a month on Starter, 25 a month with AI matching on Growth, unlimited on Pro
- Drafting source: the organization's own profile, programs and document vault; gaps flagged first; one section at a time; human approval before anything leaves
Who it is not for
- Anyone looking for a tool that submits applications automatically or promises awards.
